HIV/AIDs can be transmitted through a number of things. There are a lot of misconceptions about what exactly though.
HIV/AIDs is spread throw direct contact with CERTAIN BODY FLUIDS someone who is infected:
-Blood
-Semen an pre-seminal fluid
-Rectal fluid
-Vaginal fluid
-Breasts milk
The only way to become infected by these fluids is if they come into contact with a Mucus membranes, damaged tissue, or directly injected into the blood stream. Mucus membranes are found inside the rectum, vagina, penis, an mouth.
HIV/AIDs CAN NOT BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH CASUAL CONTACT SUCH AS:
-Air and Water
-Shaking Hands, Hugging
-Mosquitos, Ticks,
-Saliva, Sweat, and Tears
-Sharing Glass/Dishes/Silver wear
-Toilets
-"Social" Kissing
EXTREMLEY RARE ways of transmission:
-Oral sex- Penis(fellatio), Vaginal(cunnillingus), Anus(Rimming). Possible if a bodily fluid of the infected partner enters the non-infected partner and comes in contact with sore or open cut.
-Blood Transfusion, would have to be an extremely careless worker/job for this to happen because of the amount of test they do on the blood for transfusions.
-Pre-chewed food, only cases found on this deal with infants, blood of positive person(s) mixed with food then fed to the child.
-Bitten, If a person is bitten and the skin breaks and INFECTED blood and saliva mix then it can be transmitted.
-Deep "open-mouth" Kissing,, if person(s) gums have sores or is bleed (and is infected) then transmission is likely.
