Symptoms
The only way to tell if you have HIV is through a test, But there are three stages that HIV patients go through all depending on the person of course . They will present themselves as flu like symptoms.
-Don't assume that you have HIV based off of these symptom. These symptoms can mean any other illnesses so to be 100% sure if you are infected or not is to get a test.
-Symptoms can last from a few days to several weeks.
-During the early stage you are the most contagious.
-Don't misunderstand though DURING ALL STAGES you can transmit the virus so be cautious and protect yourself.
Stage 1:Early stage
-Fever
-Chills
-Rash
-Night Sweats
-Sore Throat
-Fatigue
-Swollen Lymph Nodes
-Mouth Ulcers
Stage 2: Clinical Latency "Chronic HIV Infections"
At this stage HIV is still active but reproducing at low levels. People who aren't taking treatment can be at this stage forever or progress faster. People taking treatment can last in this period a decade as well, because the medicine is keeping the virus in check.
Stage 3: Progression to AIDs
-Rapid weight loss
-Recurring fever or profuse night sweats
-Extreme and unexplained tiredness
-Prolonged swelling of the lymph glands in the armpits, groin, or neck
-Diarrhea that lasts for more than a week
-Sores of the mouth, anus, or genitals
-Pneumonia
-Red, brown, pink, or purplish blotches on or under the skin or inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids
-Memory loss, depression, and other neurologic disorders
